Get ready to enhance your language skills and explore this incredibly country!

Overnight: Hotel in San Jose

After a delicious Tico desayuno, board the bus and head to Turrialba, affectionately known as Turri by locals. This tranquil valley, surrounded by nature and welcoming people, will be our base for the next few days. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into our new surroundings before meeting the language school staff for your placement test. This casual test requires no preparation; it simply helps us gauge your current Spanish proficiency to ensure you’re placed in the appropriate class level. Get ready to dive into your first Spanish lesson in this picturesque setting!

Overnight: Turrialba Base House

Spanish time! Students will take Spanish lessons for the next three days. In the mornings, students will take part in an adventure or cultural activity, followed by Spanish language lessons in the afternoons.

Morning activities can be mountain biking, visiting a coffee farm, learning how to make local cheese, and hiking in Irazu Volcano National Park. The day’s activity will depend on availability and the weather, but will immerse students deeper into Costa Rican life.

For Spanish lessons, students will be broken up into small groups where students will be able to learn new vocabulary and grammar and improve their speaking skills.

Overnights: Turrialba Base House

Say adios to Turri, and head to the Pacuare River for a white water rafting experience. Due to its pristine waters, the thrilling class III and IV rapids, and the flora and fauna of the surrounding rainforest, the river is a must visit for any group exploring Costa Rica. Take breaks from paddling and jump into the river to cool off from the jungle heat. Spend the night at a remote lodge and finish your rafting experience the following day.

Overnight: Pacuare lodge

After finishing up your rafting adventure in the morning, head back to San Jose to wrap up your Costa Rica experience. Enjoy a final dinner and reflect on all the new experience you had along with your improved Spanish skills.
