Itinerary

Arrive in Bangkok, Thailand’s bustling capital, where you will meet your GEC tour director at the airport. After settling into your accommodations, head out for a welcome dinner and orientation, introducing you to the local culture and customs.

Kick off the day with a visit to the Grand Palace, home to the Emerald Buddha, and explore the Wat Pho temple, famous for its giant reclining Buddha. Afterward, take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River, gaining insight into local life along the waterways.

Start the day with a hands-on Thai cooking class where students will learn how to prepare classic dishes such as Pad Thai and green curry. After lunch, visit a local market to explore the vibrant food scene and learn about the importance of street food in Thai culture.

Fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in the morning. Upon arrival, visit the famous Doi Suthep Temple, perched on a mountain with incredible views over the city. Learn about the history and significance of Buddhism in Thailand and enjoy some free time to explore Chiang Mai’s night markets.
