Itinerary

Depart from the USA and arrive in Quito, Ecuador. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your tour director who will be with you throughout your adventure. After settling in at your hotel, join the group for an orientation discussion about the week ahead, setting expectations for your journey and receiving an introduction to Ecuadorian culture.
Overnight: Quito

Depart from Quito and head to the Yunguilla community, about an hour north of the city, where you will immerse yourself in rural Ecuadorian life. Engage in meaningful service activities such as reforestation efforts, organic gardening, and learning traditional methods of jam and cheese making. Explore the surrounding cloud forest, home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna, and keep an eye out for unique bird species that inhabit the area. These days will allow you to experience Ecuador off the beaten path while contributing positively to the local community.
Overnight: Yunguilla

Bid farewell to the Yunguilla community and return to Quito for a day of exploration. Begin with a visit to the Middle of the World monument, where you’ll stand on the equator. Continue with a city tour of Quito’s historic colonial streets, visiting landmarks such as Panecillo Hill for panoramic views of the city. Reflect on your experiences in Yunguilla and prepare for the next phase of your adventure in the Galápagos Islands.

Wake up early and head to the airport for your flight to the Galápagos Islands. Upon arrival, visit Las Primicias tortoise refuge, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Enjoy lunch before heading to the Charles Darwin Research Center to learn about the conservation efforts that protect the Galápagos’ unique ecosystem.

Travel by ferry to Isabela Island, the youngest and most volcanically active island in the archipelago. Begin your adventure with a stay at a glamping site in the highlands, surrounded by the island’s unique biodiversity.

Start your day with an exhilarating bike ride down the slopes of a volcano, ending at Puerto Villamil. After lunch, embark on a kayaking tour of Concha Perla Bay, where you’ll have the chance to see Galápagos penguins, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, and marine iguanas.

Spend the day exploring Isabela Island by boat, snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters around the island. Keep an eye out for tropical fish, sea turtles, and black-tipped reef sharks. Relax on the island’s white sand beaches before returning to your accommodation.

Enjoy a morning surf lesson on La Playita beach, where you’ll learn to ride the waves alongside playful sea lions and pelicans. Afterward, take the ferry to Santa Cruz Island, where you’ll settle in and explore the town of Puerto Ayora.

Today, visit Las Grietas, a geological formation with pristine waters perfect for swimming and observing aquatic life. Afterward, relax and play games on the white sands of Tortuga Bay. In the evening, enjoy a final stroll around Puerto Ayora before dinner.
