Welcome to Portugal! Upon arrival at Lisbon Portela Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in the heart of Lisbon. After settling in, take a panoramic tour of the city, visiting iconic landmarks such as Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, and the Monument to the Discoveries. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Portuguese restaurant, where you’ll try local dishes like bacalhau (salted cod) and pastel de nata.

After breakfast, begin the day with a walking tour through the historic Alfama district, the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon, known for its winding streets and traditional Fado music. Visit São Jorge Castle for stunning views over the city, followed by a stop at the Lisbon Cathedral. After lunch, take a ride on the famous Tram 28 through the city’s vibrant neighborhoods. End the day with some free time to explore or relax at a local café.

Today, enjoy a full-day trip to Sintra, a fairy-tale town nestled in the mountains outside of Lisbon. Explore the colorful Pena Palace and the lush gardens surrounding it. Afterward, visit Quinta da Regaleira, a mystical estate with secret tunnels and hidden gardens. After lunch, head to the coastal town of Cascais, where you can stroll along the beaches and explore the town center. Return to Lisbon in the evening.

Check out of your hotel in Lisbon and transfer to the airport for your flight to São Miguel Island, the largest island in the Azores. Upon arrival in Ponta Delgada, the island’s capital, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a brief orientation tour of the city. Explore the historic streets, visit the Church of São Sebastião, and take a leisurely walk along the waterfront. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, sampling Azorean cuisine.

Begin the day with a scenic drive to the village of Furnas, known for its geothermal activity. Visit the beautiful Terra Nostra Park, where you can soak in the natural hot springs surrounded by lush gardens. Afterward, witness the traditional cooking method known as “cozido,” where food is cooked underground using the heat from volcanic steam. After lunch, explore the Furnas Lake and the surrounding volcanic landscapes.
Overnight: Ponta Delgada, São Miguel
Start the morning with a visit to Sete Cidades, one of the Azores’ most famous natural landmarks. Explore the twin lakes (one blue and one green) and take in the breathtaking views from the Vista do Rei viewpoint. In the afternoon, embark on a whale-watching excursion off the coast of São Miguel, where you’ll have the chance to spot whales, dolphins, and other marine life. Return to Ponta Delgada for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Today, visit the stunning Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), a crater lake surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes. After a morning of exploration and hiking around the lake, spend the afternoon participating in adventure activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, or biking along the scenic coastline. Enjoy your final evening with a farewell dinner in Ponta Delgada, reflecting on the amazing experiences from your trip.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and transfer to Ponta Delgada Airport for your departure flight, concluding your adventure through Lisbon and the Azores.
