Arrive in Sydney, where you will be welcomed by your GEC tour director and transferred to your accommodation. After settling in, you’ll hop on a ferry to the suburb of Clontarf to begin the Manly Scenic Coastal Walk, offering stunning views and an introduction to why Sydney is consistently voted one of the most livable cities in the world. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner as you get to know your fellow travelers.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a cultural journey starting with a 1.5-hour Indigenous cultural tour at Barangaroo Reserve, where you’ll learn about the native history of Sydney Harbour and its significance to the Aboriginal clans of the Eora Nation. Following this, explore The Rocks District, Circular Quay, and the iconic Sydney Opera House. The day will also include visits to other landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour.

This morning, you’ll board a flight to Cairns, located in tropical North Queensland. Upon arrival, transfer to your accommodation and later attend a Marine Ecosystem Reef presentation by local marine biologists at the Marine Discoveries Research and Training Centre. The evening will be spent enjoying the lively atmosphere of Cairns, with dinner at the waterfront and a stroll along the esplanade.

Today, set sail to the Great Barrier Reef, where you’ll have the opportunity to snorkel or take an optional scuba dive (for certified students) at two different sites. Explore the underwater wonderland filled with vibrant marine life, including fish, turtles, and reef sharks. Onboard marine experts will provide insights into the reef’s ecosystem, making this a truly unforgettable experience.
Overnight: Cairns
Travel north to the Daintree Rainforest, one of the oldest rainforests on Earth. Begin your exploration at Mossman Gorge with a Dreamtime walk led by an Indigenous guide from the Kuku Yalanji tribe. Learn about the traditional custodians of the land, participate in a smoking ceremony, and hear stories of culture while walking along the river.
Overnight: Cape Tribulation
Spend the morning exploring the dense vegetation of the Daintree Rainforest on a guided walk, searching for endemic wildlife and learning about the ecological significance of the region. In the afternoon, take a wilderness cruise through the Daintree River, where you may spot saltwater crocodiles, cassowaries, and other unique wildlife.
Overnight: Cape Tribulation
Say goodbye to the Daintree Rainforest and head to the AJ Hackett complex in Cairns, where you can choose to bungee jump from 160 feet or enjoy the fastest jungle swing in the world. Later, board a flight to Brisbane and transfer to the Glasshouse Mountains, where you’ll settle into your base house. End the day with a short hike up Mt Ngungun, taking in 360-degree views of the surrounding landscapes.

Visit the famous Australia Zoo, founded by the legendary Steve Irwin. Get up close and personal with Australia’s unique wildlife, including kangaroos, koalas, and crocodiles. Learn about conservation efforts at the Wildlife Hospital, the most advanced in Australia, and be inspired by the zoo’s educational programs.
Overnight: Glasshouse Mountains
Spend the morning at the Eumundi Markets, one of Australia’s largest outdoor markets, where you can shop for unique souvenirs. In the afternoon, head to Noosa, one of Australia’s most famous beaches, for a jet boat ride and some relaxation time on the sand. Explore the charming town of Noosa before returning to your accommodation.

Today, you’ll learn to surf with expert Aussie coaches on one of the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful beaches. After a fun morning in the waves, enjoy a classic Aussie BBQ by the beach, complete with beach games and time to soak up the sun.

It’s time to say goodbye to Australia as you transfer to Brisbane Airport for your flight home. Reflect on the incredible experiences and adventures you’ve had during this unforgettable journey.
