Health and Immunication Protocols
At GEC, the health and safety of our students during travel programs is our priority. We create an environment by following strict health guidelines to address any concerns.
Here are some measures we take;
- Before starting their activities all participants must fill out a health form. This helps us identify any potential health issues that may require attention while they are away.
- We advise participants to have updated vaccination records based on recommendations from the World Health Organization and local health authorities. Depending on the program location and activities specific vaccinations may be necessary. Should be checked before departure. In light of COVID 19 we have implemented procedures that comply with regulations and international health organization standards. These include COVID 19 testing before departure verifying vaccination status wearing masks as required, cleaning protocols maintaining social distancing guidelines and monitoring symptoms throughout the program.
- To stress the importance of cleanliness during travel, participants are encouraged to wash their hands with soap and water or use provided hand sanitizers. We ensure that accommodations and program locations meet cleanliness standards through cleaning practices.
- In the event of an emergency, we have established connections with trusted facilities at all program locations. Participants can receive care from professionals for various health issues and our team is trained in first aid to offer prompt assistance if needed.
- Throughout the program it is mandatory for all participants to have health insurance coverage to ensure access to services in case of any health issues or emergencies.
- We closely monitor the health status of participants. Keep them informed about any changes in health protocols. We provide participants and their families with emergency contact details for communication, during the program.
- Considering scenarios we have implemented backup procedures to handle any unexpected health incidents or emergencies. Our team is prepared to adjust the program as required to prioritize the safety and well being of our participants.
